The Nursery Theatre Shows

Opening Night

To open the first Nursery New Theatre Festival, we present an evening of theatre, improvisation and music. It's a huge night's entertainment in a tiny venue. And all for £5, until three and with a dirt cheap bar.

Acts include:

Exterminating Angel -
Inspired by Bunuel's Surrealist film about dinner guests who can't leave their meal, an improvised installation piece.

The Improsarios
- Razor-sharp Improvised silliness. Scenes and stories magicked from thin air.

Bellatrix and the Boxettes
- Awesome all-female vocals and beatboxing.

And more to be announced . . .

The Improsarios - The Ripple Effect

How do you want today to end?

Highly-skilled, serious and silly, The Improsarios will weave each night a different play each night from the suggestions the audience give them. Each night is unique, and no one will know what's going to happen until it does.

Star-crossed lovers? Zombies? Or just a disastrous day at work?

Let's find out.

The Telemachy - The Theory Of Everything

You are just a boy. You wake up one day to realise that your home is no longer yours. It has been invaded by imbeciles, vying to seduce your mother. Your mother doesn’t seem to mind. It’s a problem.

So begins a necessary quest to come of age, a quest to find the courage to do what clearly needs to be done, to reclaim your space and reinvent your home, to discover what it means to be your father’s son.

With a company of performers from radical and varied training backgrounds, the audience of the Telemachy will be taken on this journey.
